“Make it in Munich” is Munich’s official website for qualified professionals and young talents from abroad. It guides third-country nationals (non-EU / non-EFTA countries) who are still abroad in your planned and legal migration to Munich. We offer free online consultations, German and IT courses to help you prepare for your career and integrate into Munich – even before you arrive.

Our offerings are open to third-country nationals (from non-EU and non-EFTA countries) who plan to work and live in Munich on certain types of visas, such as work visas, EU Blue Cards, or for family reunification. You can also apply if you work in a shortage occupation and are motivated to come to Munich.

Applicants who are in the process of obtaining a Work Visa, EU Blue Card, Family Reunion Visa, Vocational Training Visa, Visa for Purpose of Seeking a Vocational Training Place, Language Visa or Opportunity Card are able to apply.

If you are coming to Munich on a student or tourist visa, you are not eligible for our programs. Participants who are already living in Germany can not apply, either. However, third-country nationals already living in EU or EFTA countries (Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein) can still apply for the offers – if they plan to come to Munich.
